A relatively new recruit to Meridian Radio, Jessica is a University graduate with an honours degree in being friendly ! With her bubbly personality and sense of humour she has already established herself as a welcome addition to the team, working as a Programme Assistant on Thursday Night At The Empire, with Mike Bartlett and Tony White,  A Lincolnshire lass by birth, she is constantly the butt of their humour, but gives as good as she gets and has even tried her hand at a bit of Comedy Club stand-up humour herself.

Jessica is becoming a popular figure around the wards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, too, where, early on Thursday evenings she can be found laughing and joking with patients as she collects their requests and dedications. Then she heads back to the Meridian Studios to organise her requests and music, get the tea and chocolate biccies for her lazy male chauvinist colleagues and present the request section of the programme in her own charming and inimitable style. She is a talented lady who also claims to be an expert ballroom dancer. Allegedly, she was the Scunthorpe and District Underwater Three Legged Viennese Waltz Double Back Somersault Championship Queen, 1994. We have yet to see the trophy. Jessica lives with her partner James, a stand-up comedian, in South London.

You can hear Jessica between 8.30 and 9.30pm every Thursday evening on Meridian Radio, and look out for her down your ward.
